Terms of Reference: Calls for Expressions of interest for a Content Developer
medica mondiale e.V. is seeking a content developer (individual expert or agency) to design and produce research-based communication materials drawn from the Sinoe IV Evaluative Study, across three connected task areas: a scientific conference poster for the SVRI Forum 2026, a scientific conference Poster for the EES Conference 2026, and the study's preliminary dissemination products.

medica mondiale is a feminist women's rights organisation. For over 30 years, we have been campaigning against conflict-related sexualised violence and against power relations that oppress women. Together with local partner organisations in Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Liberia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and other countries, we support survivors of sexualised violence, oppose discriminatory power relations, and empower women’s rights activists.
About medica Liberia
medica Liberia is the West Africa partner implementing community-based SGBV prevention and response. In 2026 it marks 20 years of work in Liberia (2006–2026). The Sinoe IV Evaluative Study is a mixed-methods evaluation of this community-based approach, conducted across Sinoe and Grand Gedeh Counties, and provides the evidence base for all content under this assignment.
Background
Overall Goal: the study contributes to a steady and vibrant community network that influences socio-political and economic structural change processes towards greater gender inclusiveness and improved SGBV survivor response. The content developer will translate this evidence into accessible scientific and public-facing materials. Objective
To produce a coherent suite of high-quality, evidence-based communication products that present Sinoe IV findings credibly to academic, institutional and community audiences, while marking medica Liberia's 20-year milestone and supporting structured dissemination.
Scope of Work – Three Task Areas

Required Qualifications
• Established agency or expert(s) with a demonstrable portfolio in research and scientific communication design;
• Proven scientific / research communication competencies, including academic and conference poster design;
• Strong process-creation capacity – able to structure a clear, collaborative production workflow from brief to final files;
• Capacity to handle complex academic content and distil it into accurate, accessible visuals;
• Fluency in English and German, with priority on English as the primary working language;
• Sensitivity to working on SGBV subject matter and survivor-centred, gender-responsive communication;
• Experience delivering print-ready and digital outputs to brand and event specifications.
Deliverables
• Forum: one print-ready and digital SVRI Forum 2026 scientific poster, plus a supporting visual abstract;
• Forum: one print-ready and digital EES Conference 2026 scientific poster, plus a supporting visual abstract;
• Preliminary Dissemination: dissemination product suite aligned to the Dissemination Matrix (evidence brief, infographics, study reports, toolkit-preview assets);
• All source files and editable formats, with a short style/handover note.
• Canva is encouraged as a tool for the design and development of the deliverables.
• All products must be aligned with medica mondiale’s Corporate Design (CD) guidelines
Application Procedure
Applications with the subject line 'Content Developer – Sinoe IV / SVRI Forum 2026' are received under evaluation@medicamondiale.org until 12th of August 2026. Questions may be directed to sakushie-wittmann@medicamondiale.org. Offers shall be submitted as one combined PDF document containing the following:
• Date of offer submission (equal to email submission date);
• Name of company and/or expert(s);
• Composition of the proposed team with dedicated responsibilities of each member;
• Short bio per team member (max. 1 page for the entire team) and a detailed CV for each;
• Proposed methodology and production process for the three task areas;
• Complete and detailed budget breakdown including VAT (if applicable), with daily consulting fees and any additional costs;
• Two references per team member, including reference contact details;
• At least three links to earlier published work or relevant portfolio / poster and writing samples;
• Total application length (excluding annexes) should not exceed 10 pages.
Only complete applications will be considered, and only short-listed candidates will be contacted. Interviews are likely to take place on the 18th and 19th of August 2026.
