Junior Professional Officer (JPO)
Die Bundesregierung hat mit mehr als 40 Internationalen Organisationen Abkommen zur Förderung von deutschen Nachwuchskräften als JPO geschlossen. Die Federführung des Programms liegt beim Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ); das Büro Führungskräfte zu Internationalen Organisationen (BFIO) ist verantwortlich für die Durchführung des Programms. Angesprochen sind Bewerber*innen mit deutscher Staatsangehörigkeit und mit erster Berufserfahrung nach abgeschlossenem Hochschulstudium.

Da es sich um ein Nachwuchsförderprogramm handelt, sollten Bewerberinnen und Bewerber im Regelfall zwischen zwei bis vier Jahren Berufserfahrung haben.

Junior Professional Officer (JPO), HR Analyst (Front Office), Rome
Sector/Unit: Human Resources Division (HRD)/Front Office
Duration: 2 years with the possibility of extension for another year. 
Please note that for participants of the JPO-Programme two years of work experience are mandatory!


Main duties and responsibilities (Examples):

  • Contribute to the establishment of staff development and learning priorities and plans. 
  • Contribute to the development of new HR initiatives in the fields of benefits and entitlements, performance management, policy, systems, talent acquisition, and talent management.
  • Compile and maintain data on trends, risks and opportunities and sharing HR best practices.
  • Assist in reviewing and drafting communications on HR initiatives, required to support IFAD’s programmatic and operational requirements.
  • Prepare briefing notes, factsheets, presentations, and other documents in support of various communication initiatives relating to HR activities.
  • Assist in developing new approaches and mechanisms to attract candidates of high quality and from diverse backgrounds.
  • Continuously remain abreast of the latest trends in the field of human resources.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the outcome of outreach activities through the analysis of staffing trends across the Fund.
  • Identify reporting mechanisms to report on effectiveness and best use of different channels with respect to strategic recruitment priorities.

Profile of qualification:

Education:

Master´s degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Management, or another job-related field.

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years of experience in a multi-cultural organization or national organization providing support on a global scope.
  • Experience in HR project management is preferable, particularly in the field of learning and development areas.

Key Competencies:

  • Fluency in English.
  • Working knowledge of Arabic, French, or Spanish is desirable.
  • Solid project management skills in developing, designing and implementing learning solutions, with a strong focus on learning and development initiatives.
  • Basic knowledge of the principles and concepts of human resources management.
  • Excellent knowledge of information technology systems and tools.
